In 1816, Eliphalet Remington decided to design his own flintlock rifle. Once he’d drawn up his design, he built it using his father’s forge and then entered it in a competition to find out how well it measured up to others. He ended up winning second place in the competition, and although he probably wished for first place, his rifle garnered a great deal of attention from spectators, and orders began pouring in. Eliphalet was left with the choice of either ignoring the orders or going into business as a gunsmith, and fortunately for gun owners, he opted to found Remington. And now, almost 200 years, Remington is the biggest and oldest constantly operating firearms and ammunition company in the U.S.
These Remington rounds are made for your .357 Magnum. At 110 grain they’re considered quite lightweight for the cartridge size, so they’ll fly down-range at higher speeds. These are Semi-Jacketed Hollow Point (SJHP) rounds and begin to expand immediately upon impact. Their jackets control expansion, slowing it down, which allows for greater penetration and a deeper, more devastating wound cavity. Each of these rounds leaves the barrel of your gun with a muzzle velocity of 1295 feet per second and muzzle energy of 410 foot-pounds. This ammunition is specifically designed for self-defense.
There are 500 defense rounds in this box of ammunition. With 500 rounds you can spend time honing your marksmanship skills, improving accuracy and shot placement, working on grouping, and practicing firing from a variety of positions including kneeling and prone. Remember, you have no way to predict how a firefight will go down, but the one thing you can be sure of is that anything can happen. It’s hard to prepare for “anything” but it is possible. You simply start with the most important skill – shot placement and accuracy – and work your way out from there. Remington manufactures ammunition at their factory in Lonoke, Arkansas. These rounds are produced in new-production brass cases with boxer primer and can be reloaded. Order today and become a truly skilled self-defense shooter.
