- Q & A
This cartridge is loaded with a 102 grain brass jacketed hollow point. Brass is a tougher metal than the other copper alloys typically used to make jackets, which helps keep the bullet intact so it can penetrate deeper into its target. The BJHP’s rim is segmented by symmetrical spiral cut serrations. These help the bullet open up and widen out more effectively as it meets resistance from soft tissue, which translates to the debilitating wound cavity which halts an attacker’s advance. The BJHP’s narrow nose profile is optimized for smooth feeding in semi-automatics, as well as more precise alignment with the bore to promote better accuracy.
This ammo’s shiny nickel-plated brass cases aren’t just easier to see in poor lighting. They are smoother than bare brass and therefore smoother-cycling, and they are resilient against gradual corrosion that can cause a failure to feed at the worst possible time.
