Remington designed their Golden Saber Black Belt series ammunition to do two things: give cops firepower they can count on out in the field, and deliver terminal ballistics like a bonded bullet without having to go through the trouble of actually bonding a core to its jacket.

The Black Belt jacketed hollow point features a cartridge brass (70% copper, 30% zinc) jacket (brass + JHP = BJHP). It is stiffer and stronger than a gilding metal (5-15% zinc) jacket, which reduces fragmentation during passage through a barrier in the interest of promoting deeper penetration into the threat. The Black Belt BJHP additionally features a black, nickel-plated belt around its midsection to grant it even greater resistance to core/jacket separation, as well as unique spiral nose cuts to facilitate expansion at all practical velocities.
