- Q & A
Shooting at high volumes is great not only because it’s fun but because it’s nice to be able to shoot without needing to stop before you’ve made much progress. After all, it takes quite a bit of ammunition to become a proficient marksman, and unfortunately ammunition has a tendency to cost quite a bit of money. But that’s where companies like Silver Bear come in, because they know you want to shoot more without breaking the bank. They produce economically priced ammunition, enabling you to feed your gun well and spend more time honing your skills without emptying your wallet.
These Silver Bear rounds are for your 7.62x39mm. At 123 grain they’re considered fairly lightweight, but that means they’ll reach out and touch your target at higher speeds. These are Hollow Point (HP) rounds and deliver rapid energy transfer on impact, also immediately beginning to expand. HPs mushroom as they penetrate while simultaneously decelerating, creating a devastating wound channel. Each of these rounds leaves the barrel of your rifle at a muzzle velocity of 2460 feet per second. This ammunition can be used for hunting game up to the size of whitetail deer and can also be used for target practice and plinking.
When you place your order for this box of Silver Bear ammunition, you get 500 HP rounds. With 500 rounds you can work on improving shot placement and grouping and still have enough left over for going hunting. Or, if you’re working on tactics, you can practice shooting from a variety of positions including kneeling and prone and also practice firing from cover. There’s quite a bit of ammunition in this box so you’ll have ample opportunities to work on quite a few skills. Silver Bear produces these rounds in steel cases with berdan primer to ensure ignition in order to save you money. They’re a subsidiary of the Barnaul Machine Tool Plant, and ammunition is manufactured at Barnaul’s factory in Barnaul, Russia. Your rifle is hungry; feed it!
