More Details About This SinterFire 45gr Frangible .223 Ammo
Want to turn your AR-15 (or other 5.56x45mm or 223 Remington) rifle on steel targets at close range? Then you’d better choose the right ammunition for the job, by which we mean order SinterFire Reduced Hazard Ammunition (RHA) from us!
SinterFire specializes in manufacturing frangible bullets, which are made of copper and other non-lead powders that have been hardened into a solid without melting in the process (i.e. sintered). When they hit a solid surface (e.g. AR500), frangible bullets blow themselves apart into dust and itty-bitty crumbs.
A normal FMJ contains rigid copper, which can bounce off of steel and injure you. This round’s frangible bullet does not pose that risk. It is also completely lead free, so you won’t be enveloping yourself in toxic airborne dust each time you hit your mark. (This ammo’s primers do contain lead, though.)
