More Details About This SinterFire 110gr Frangible .38 Spl Ammo
Fire a conventional full metal jacket projectile into a steel target at close range. Know what can happen? Splash-back – i.e. jagged fragments of copper and/or lead, flying straight at your face faster than you can react.
That’s bad.
Fire this SinterFire Reduced Hazard Ammunition (RHA) 38 Special cartridge’s frangible bullet into the same steel target. Know what can’t happen? That same undesirable thing we described two paragraphs ago.
That’s good!
This training load’s frangible bullet is made of solidified copper and tin powders. The bullet is tough enough to accelerate to just 75 fps lower than the speed of sound without breaking. But when it hits steel, or any other hard surface, it will react in turn by reducing itself to light and virtually harmless particles. Better yet, a frangible bullet won’t scatter around lead dust that you’d rather not breathe in!
This ammunition’s primers are not lead free. SinterFire’s GreenLine series ammo is loaded with lead-free primers. RHA is not.
