What exactly is a BEB bullet? That stands for “brass enclosed base,” and it indicates that this round’s 185 grain bullet’s jacket fully shields its lead core against hot propellant gasses while it’s speeding through the barrel. The BEB prevents ignition from searing lead off its core, which promotes a cleaner barrel and a cleaner shooting environment. (The BEB does superficially resemble a soft point, although it is not designed for terminal expansion.)
