20 Rounds of 100gr FMJBT 6.5 Grendel Ammo by Wolf

You love your 6.5 Grendel rifle. You just don’t love shoveling out pantloads of dough buying ammunition for it. Wolf to the rescue! The Russian manufacturer has nearly eliminated pricey copper from their 6.5 Grendel ammo – and its price tag shows it.

This cartridge’s 110 grain full metal jacket boat tail bullet features what is known as a bi-metal jacket. That means its lead core is encapsulated by a thin layer of steel, with a fine copper wash exterior for enhanced cosmetics. Its bi-metal jacket does not affect the FMJBT’s ballistic performance in any appreciable way, but it will attract a magnet. Some commercial gun ranges prohibit Wolf ammo for that reason, but we expect the rules are far more relaxed on your own property.

This ammo is not Soviet era surplus (it couldn’t possibly be, since the 6.5 Grendel only hit the scene in 2003). As such its Berdan primers are guaranteed noncorrosive. But because it is Berdan-primed – and because its cases are made of economical yet rigid steel instead of brass – this ammunition is certifiably not reloadable.
