- Q & A
Wolf 7.62x54r ammo is a subsidiary of the legendary Tula Arm Plant. Tula was founded in 1712 by degree of Aleksander I, who ordered the factory be built in order to supply the locals with the means necessary to protect themselves. The town had been under threat from invading nomads, and with the closest arsenal in Moscow they had no way to defend themselves. Tula immediately began making guns, knives, and ammo, and over the years they slowly spread out until they reached their current distribution status, which is global. They’re well known for producing economically priced ammunition, which allows shooters to shoot at higher volumes without draining their bank accounts.
These Wolf rounds are for your 7.62x54r-chambered rifle. At 148 grain they’re moderately heavy and still capable of moving at high speeds while delivering quite a punch on impact. These are Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) rounds, so they won’t expand on impact but will simply create at through-and-through and keep on traveling. Because rifle rounds can travel quite literally for miles before coming to a stop, it’s a must to have a good backstop in place during range time. Each of these rounds has a muzzle velocity of 2785 feet per second and muzzle energy of 2407 foot-pounds. This ammunition is best for target practice, tactical training, and plinking.
There are 20 target rounds in this single box of ammunition, which is just enough to give your rifle a snack. For a more substantial meal, buy multiple boxes. Wolf produces this ammunition using their special bimetal layering process, alternating copper and steel to produce a steel case, which is then berdan primed for reliable ignition. Finished rounds are coated with a polymer for consistent cycling. This makes production cheaper and ammunition cheaper, so you can shoot more for less. Tula manufactures ammunition at their centuries-old factory in Tula, Russia. Order now and feed your Russian rifle Russian ammo.
