The 6.5 Creedmoor was designed for recreational and competitive long-distance shooting. It wasn’t very long before deer hunters realized an accurate rifle cartridge can be very useful for hunting deer as well. If you subscribe to that theory, then you’ll be able to make excellent use of this Czech-made 6.5 CM!

The soft point is the simplest kind of hunting bullet you’ll find in a rifle cartridge. The 131 grain projectile is enveloped by its copper alloy jacket everywhere except its tip. Since the SP’s much softer lead core connects directly with the target, it forces the whole bullet to smoosh down and gouge a wider and nastier wound channel through its surroundings.

The soft point isn’t as accurate as a top-of-the-line Ballistic Tip or ELD-X, but it still serves well enough to score bucks at distances beyond 500 yards. If you’re going after yotes you can safely aim well beyond that. If you are an amateur ballistician, this round’s G1 BC is 0.389 (G7 0.195).

Sellier & Bellot’s nonmagnetic bullets are seated in factory fresh brass cases, complete with the Boxer primers that make ammo reloadable.
