- Q & A
This cartridge’s 156 grain projectile is a good old-fashioned soft-point. No super high-tech space-age heat-resistant polymer or intricate clockwork workings here, just a simple copper alloy jacket engirdling a lead core which it leaves exposed at the tip. This round offers a very serviceable trajectory, with barely any bullet rise to take into account at the first few hundred yards. At the end of its rainbow the bullet’s flat nose profile creates a wide entry wound, which becomes even wider as the bullet flattens out and spins around within soft tissue.
Sellier & Bellot is based in the Czech Republic, where they were founded all the way back in 1825. They strictly espouse modern production standards, loading to carefully controlled tolerances as they implement newly spun brass, non-corrosive Boxer primers, and of course clean burning smokeless propellant.
