More Details About This Sellier & Bellot 140gr SP 6.5mm Creedmoor Ammo
Do you want to hunt deer, hogs, javelinas, varmints, or anything else short of large game with your 6.5 Creedmoor rifle? Sounds like the perfect plan – and we’d be honored to play a small part in it by shipping you ten boxes of Sellier & Bellot’s fine soft point ammunition!
The soft point bullet takes a very simple approach to terminal expansion. This round’s 140 grain SP has a hard copper-zinc alloy jacket that leaves the tip of its lead core exposed. When soft lead collides with hide and muscle tissue, it has no other option but to flatten down and spread outward to track an increasingly wide wound channel in its path. The SP’s tough jacket also ensures that the bullet will remain mostly intact so it can retain the momentum it needs to bore deeply through sinuous soft tissue.
Sellier & Bellot makes high-quality SP bullets: streamlined, balanced, and uniform in weight and dimensions. That’ll treat you to the consistent accuracy you need to put a bullet exactly where you mean to. (If you’re into ballistic coefficients, this round is G1 0.417, G7 0.210 with a 21.75” test barrel.)
Sellier & Bellot has been at it since 1825. Today they employ over 1,500 people in the Czech Republic and are owned by Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos of Brazil, so they have the experience and resources they need to load premium reloadable brass cases, responsive non-corrosive Boxer primers and uniform payloads of clean-burning propellant.
