- Q & A
In recent years as concealed carry laws have changed, many law enforcement officers (LEO’s) have been turning to an old favorite to become their backup gun (BUG): .380 ACP. The small frame is much easier to conceal than many other supposedly compact firearms; for example, it is much narrower and shorter than the baby Glock. It’s important for a BUG to virtually disappear in concealment; there can be no risk of printing. The .380 ACP does that, whether tucked into an ankle holster or carried in a pocket holster. It’s also a lighter-weight gun, so it won’t pull your clothing off-center, and with its almost nonexistent recoil and accuracy at close range, an increasing number of LEO’s are using it as their BUG.
Of course you need some target rounds to practice with your .380 ACP. This ammunition is made by Armscor, a company known for producing good target ammunition at economical prices. Armscor, which stands for the Arms Corporation of the Philippines, was founded immediately after World War II and quickly became known for their dedication to advanced production techniques. For example, they use precision investment casting and Computerized Numerical Control to produce quality ammunition, and their hard work and dedication has led to their becoming the largest ammunition manufacturer in Southeast Asia. All ammunition meets SAAMI or CIP specifications and is manufactured at their plant in the Philippines.
At 95 grain these are within the standard weight range for the cartridge size but also at the higher end, so they are slightly heavier than some. They’re light enough to maintain the minimal recoil you want from your .380, which also enables you to practice at greater length without tiring out your hands. These are FMJ rounds specifically created for target practice, tactical training, and plinking and have a muzzle velocity of 920 feet per second and muzzle energy of 188 foot-pounds. There are 50 rounds in this single box, so buy one box to give your gun a snack and buy several to feed it a substantial meal. This ammunition is produced in fresh brass, boxer primed cases and can be reloaded. Training is important, and there’s no reason for price to stop you from getting plenty of range time in with your favorite pistol. Thanks to Armscor, you can afford to practice.
Very pleased with AMMO and price used for Kahr P380 "break-in".on 11/19/14
I fired 50rds of PMC (90gr.), 50rds of Federal (95gr.), 50 rds of Armscor (95gr.) ammo along
with another brand bought elsewhere to reach the 200rd recommended rounds needed for break-in.
The PMC, Federal and Armscor all worked well and I would happy purchase more of these brands
in the future.
The "break-in" did help the Kahr P380 feed and extract more reliably!
Summary: Excellent purchasing experience from AmmoForSale.
