The Mozambique Drill was made famous by Col. Jeff Cooper. The drill involves putting two rounds to center mass and a single follow-up shot to the head; it ensures the assailant is actually stopped instead of simply temporarily slowed. To practice this drill, set up a silhouette target between five and seven yards away. Start either at a low-ready or with a holstered handgun, then fire two rounds to center mass and one to the head. There are a number of variations such as shooting one-handed, with your weak hand, prone, and from behind cover. With time your speed will improve, as will your accuracy; this is a great drill for self-defense.
These are heavy 230 grain rounds. They’re FNEB rounds; their Flat Nose creates a nice, clean hole in your targets and the Enclosed Base means no lead is released into the air when you fire your gun. These are also Remington’s leadless rounds; using them keeps the air around you cleaner and also keeps things cleaner for the staff at your range. These rounds fly down-range with a muzzle velocity of 850 feet per second and hit with compelling force at a muzzle energy of 356 foot-pounds. This ammunition is great for target practice, shooting drills, and target practice.
There are 50 rounds of leadless ammunition in this single box. They’re made by Remington, a company that’s been around for 200 years and has a solid reputation in the industry.
