- Q & A
TulAmmo was founded in 1712 by decree of Peter I with the goal of providing the local populace with the means by which to protect themselves from invading nomads. At that time the nearest arsenal was in Moscow which was much too far to travel, and building a weapons plant seemed the best solution. From day one Tula has used the latest technology to produce weapons, which meant water and trochanteric machines in the 18th century and means computerized technology today. They’ve made everything from swords to guns to ammunition and are known for producing economically priced ammunition, allowing gun owners to shoot at higher volumes without emptying their bank accounts.
These Tula rounds are made for your .223 Remington. At 55 grain these are considered lightweight rounds and race towards targets at fantastic speeds. These are Full Metal Jacket, FMJ, rounds and do not expand on impact. Rifle rounds like these are prone to over-penetration and can literally travel for miles before coming to a stop, so make sure you have a reliable backstop in place. This ammunition is meant for target practice, tactical training, and plinking.
When you order this case of ammunition from Tula you get 50 boxes of 20 rounds each for a grand total of 1000 target rounds. That’s an awesome amount of ammunition; with 1000 rounds you can focus on range time with your AR-15 doing everything from shooting prone to firing from concealment to practicing using your weaker hand. There are practically endless drills possible and myriad skills to master with your rifle, and with this big box of ammunition, you can do it all. Tula manufactures ammunition at their centuries-old factory in Tula, Russia. Order now and give your AR-15 the attention it deserves.

- Do these round contain any steel? The indoor range I frequent does not allow steel. Posted On: 12/13/2016 By: Tony
- Hello Tony, This Tula ammunition is loaded with a lead core, bi-metal jacket projectile. Due to the steel content in the jacket, this ammunition will not be able to be used at that range.
