- Q & A
So you’ve heard of the Tula Arms Plant. You know they were founded in 1712 when Tsar Peter I of Russia ordered the building of an ammunition plant. You know they’ve been considered progressive since the moment they opened, when they used water machines and trochanteric machines for drilling shafts, and today they use state-of-the-art technology. And you know they have a good reputation for producing quality target rounds at affordable prices. But you haven’t tried them yet. Well, this 20-round box of .223’s is the perfect size for trying out Tula, and after you burn through this box, you’ll be back.
These are Full Metal Jacket rounds, making them a good choice for target practice, tactical training, and plinking. They’re 62 grain, which is a medium weight for the cartridge, and they have fantastic speed. Their muzzle velocity is 3,025 feet per second, and you just know they’re going to put a serious hole in your targets. Tula uses a special process to create the cases, carefully alternating thin layers of steel and copper until they have a reliable steel case. Their steel cases are boxer primed and coated with a polymer to ensure feeding and ejecting.
According to experienced shooters who have used these Tula rounds, they not only function reliably but offer accuracy and nice grouping; reviewers have put thousands of these rounds through their rifles and keep coming back for more. Remember, you only get 20 rounds in this little box, and although that’s a nice size to slip in your pocket or drop into the side pocket of your range bag, it’s only a snack for your rifle. If you’ve never tried Tula, it’s high time you did; your rifle will thank you.
(This ammunition is steel-cased. Some ranges do not allow rounds with steel cases, so make sure you double check before trying to use this ammunition at your area range.)
