The 9mm offers some key features that have made it a favorite for countless shooters, from its ability to offer knockdown power with a more manageable recoil to its higher capacity magazine. Odds are, if you own one, it’s for those reasons. Of course, shot placement will always matter regardless of caliber, and it’s easier than you might think to empty your magazine in a panic, and that’s where training will save the day. Not just training, but repetition. When you make an action a habit, it becomes deeply ingrained so that you go into auto-pilot should an emergency – such as an assault – occur. Proper training requires good quality ammunition.
Winchester Ranger is an excellent line of target ammunition designed to suit the high standards of law enforcement. This ammunition is specifically designed for fantastic ballistic performance and fine accuracy, because Winchester wants training to be quality-oriented; they don’t want your valuable time wasted by subpar ammo. They certainly have the experience necessary to create such superior target ammunition; having been founded in 1866 by Oliver Winchester they have more than 150 years of design and production experience behind them, and more to come. All of Winchester’s products are made in the U.S.A.
These are moderately heavy rounds at 147 grain, which should lend them somewhat greater strength, and that’s good when you’re training for self-defense. They’re Full Metal Jacket and as such do not expand on impact, and they’re ideal for tactical training, shooting drills, and target practice. And, of course, if you just want to take your 9mm out and fire off a few rounds, you can do that, too. This ammunition has nice zip with a muzzle velocity of 985 feet per second and impacts with a muzzle energy of 317 foot-pounds. There are 50 rounds in this box, but you might also be interested in the 500 round package that you can find here. These Winchester 9mm rounds are perfect for dropping in your range bag or stacking in the corner of your safe. These are new production, non-corrosive, brass-cased, boxer-primed rounds, and can be reloaded.
