Wolves are predators known for their beauty, stealth, and fierce lethality. The .308 Winchester is an extraordinary rifle known for its sleek power, compelling force, and stunning speed. When you hunt with your .308, you are the wolf, and your rifle gives you teeth. The .308 Win is capable of taking down a variety of game, although it’s commonly used for whitetail deer. Over the years hunters have used it for everything from caribou to antelope to mountain goats to polar bears; the list goes on. Of course, in order to be an effective hunter, you need range time, and that’s where these Wolf target rounds come in to play.
Wolf ammunition is actually a subsidiary of the legendary Tula Arms Plant. Tula was founded in 1712 by order of Petr I; the locals were being terrorized by invading nomads, and the closest arsenal was in Moscow. Building an arms plant locally was the answer to their problem. Since day one Tula has utilized the latest technology – which, in 1712, meant water machines – and they continue today. Over 300 years they’ve gone through quite a few changes in the firearms industry, and today they’re one of the oldest firearms and ammunition manufacturers in the world.
At 145 grain these are quite lightweight for the .308 Win cartridge. They’re FMJ and don’t expand on impact; this ammunition is meant for target practice, tactical training, and plinking. Each round flies from the barrel of your rifle with a muzzle velocity of 2455 feet per second and rips into your target with the muzzle energy of 1940 foot-pounds. There are 20 target rounds in this single box of ammunition from Wolf; ammunition is manufactured at their plant in Tula, Russia. Hone your hunting skills in advance with these steel-cased target rounds, and be the wolf.
(This ammunition is steel-cased. Some ranges do not allow rounds with steel cases, so make sure you double check before trying to use this ammunition at your area range.)
