Please Note: The image of this Tula 7.62x39 shows the "spam can" with an opener. While we do all we can to include an opener with each order, we often do not receive enough of these from Tula to guarantee each order will receive one. Because of this, please understand you may not receive an opener with your Tula order.

You might have heard of Russia's famed "Spam Can" of ammo. Well, behold AK-47 shooters: here it is!

If you’re looking for general purpose ammo for your 7.62x39mm rifle, then these rounds will be an excellent choice for you.  Manufactured by the reputable Russian firearms and ammunition company Tula Arms, it doesn’t matter whether you’re looking for ammo for target shooting, self-defense, or even hunting.  You simply can’t go wrong with Tula in your AK.

You will receive 640 rounds of 7.62x39mm rammo in a sealed spam can. Please note, we cannot guarantee you will receive a can opener with your ammo order. The sealed "spam can" is easily opened with a screwdriver and hammer so it shouldn't cause much of an issue. This ammo is sure to last you a long time.  Each round is 122gr, full metal jacketed, berdan primed and steel cased.  At 122gr, these rounds are lightweight for a 7.62x39mm round, thereby giving your shoulder less of a kick.  These rounds deliver muzzle energy of 1,555 feet per pound and muzzle velocity of 2,396 feet per second making this an awesome choice of bulk 7.62x39 ammo.

These rounds are also steel cased, making them almost as reliable as brass cased rounds and much more affordable.  If price is one of your considerations looking for ammo, then these rounds should be a good fit for you.  In addition, the berdan primers mean that these rounds will tend to be more reliable and non-corrosive then if you were to get Boxer primers.  As these are full metal jacketed rounds, the lead bullets are encased in a shell of harder metal and thereby deliver greater muzzle velocity.

These rounds are made by the reputable Russian firearms and ammunition manufacturer Tula Arms, located in Tula, Russia. In business all the way back since 1712, Tula specializes in producing Russian firearms and the ammunition for them.  So for your AK or AK-variant rifle, you simply couldn’t ask for a more noteworthy company for your ammo to come from.

I fired this ammo though my new AK-47 and found it to shoot very well at a fraction of the cost of a 20rnd/per box from my local gun shop. It shipped the same day and could be tracked through Fed Ex so I could be there to receive it.
I noticed when ordering it said "some" shipments will receive a can opener for the tin container. I think ammoforsale should have a record of who they send openers to or have it as a request or even a small charge because I can't imagine opening that container without it.
Overall I am very happy with this product. (Posted on 12/3/14)
