The Tula Cartridge Plant has become something of a legend over the years. The company was founded in 1712 after Tsar Peter I of Russia ordered it be built in order to supply the locals with the necessary protection from invading nomads. At the time the nearest arsenal was in Moscow which was way too far to travel, making a local plant a wise decision. Tula has always been state-of-the-art, which, in 1712, meant using water machines, and today means far more technologically advanced apparatus. They have more than 300 years of experience, making them one of the oldest ammunition companies in the world. Needless to say Tula knows their stuff.
This ammunition is for your .223 Remington. It’s lightweight at just 62 grain, although that means it can move faster and won’t produce excessive felt recoil. These are Full Metal Jacket rounds, so they don’t expand but simply impact, penetrate, and keep on going, just like any target round. Rifle rounds can travel for miles before coming to a stop, and since there’s no telling what they might encounter along the way it’s absolutely vital to have a solid backstop in place during target practice. Each of these rounds has a muzzle velocity of 3025 feet per second and as .223 rounds you can be sure they’ll put a gaping hole in your stationary target. These rounds are meant for target practice, tactical training, and plinking.
You get 20 target rounds in this single box of ammunition from Tula. These boxes are the perfect size for tucking in your pocket when you go shooting and stashing in your range bag, but they’re still only packed with 20 rounds, so you might consider ordering more than one. Tula understands all shooters want to be high-volume shooters, but that it’s a rather cost-prohibitive habit, so they do what they can to keep their ammunition economically priced. For example, these FMJ rounds are made using steel cases with a lacquer coating for reliable feeding and ejecting, which saves you money. If you want to spend quality time with your .223 without emptying your wallet in the process, place your order for these target rounds from Tula.
(This ammunition is steel-cased. Some ranges do not allow rounds with steel cases, so make sure you double check before trying to use this ammunition at your area range.)
