More Details About Our 1000 Rounds of 154gr SP 7.62x39 Ammo by Tula
Not all 7.62x39 cartridges are created equal. The vast majority are loaded with full metal jacket projectiles – perfect for target shooting, yet incapable of terminal expansion and therefore unsuitable for hunting medium game and less effective for personal defense. That’s why this AK-47 and SKS rifle ammo is special: It is loaded with 154 grain soft point bullets, which will widen out during penetration to deal accentuated damage to surrounding soft tissues.
Tula’s ammunition is made in Russia, and they do things a little differently over there. First of all, Tula keeps down their production costs by using bi-metal bullet jackets instead of copper-alloy ones. A bi-metal jacket is nearly 100 percent soft steel, which is important because many commercial ranges ban bullets that can attract a magnet. This ammo’s cases are also made of cost-effective steel. Importantly, that means this ammo is not reloadable!
Tula loads Berdan primers instead of Boxer primers. From a practical standpoint, that will not affect performance in the slightest. Furthermore, this ammo’s Berdan primers are noncorrosive. Your rifle will not turn into rusted trash if you only clean your it normally after firing this ammo!
