- Q & A
The legendary Tula Arms Plant was founded back in 1712 by order of Petr I, who was, at the time, the Emperor of Russia. The village of Tula was suffering greatly at the hands of invading nomads and the closest arsenal was in Moscow, which was much too far to travel at that time. By building the Tula plant ammunition and firearms became readily available which meant the citizens were far better protected. Over the last 300 years Tula has worked hard to produce well-made ammunition at economical prices; they know you want to be a high-volume shooter, and with their help, you can be one.
These particular rounds are made by Wolf, which is a subsidiary of the Tula Arms Plant. At 123 grain they’re considered lightweight for the 7.62x39mm cartridge, so they’re able to move down-range with lightning speed. These are Full Metal Jacket, or FMJ, rounds, so they’re not going to expand on impact and they’re prone to over-penetration as are all target rounds. Each round moves towards your target at the impressive muzzle velocity of 2396 feet per second and strikes with enormous force. This ammunition is great for target practice, shooting drills, and plinking.
When you place your order for this box of ammunition you get 20 target rounds. These boxes are the perfect size for sticking in your pocket when you head out for some trigger time and are also great for stashing in your range bag. They’re manufactured in Tula, Russia, just as they have been for three centuries and are produced in steel cases with a special lacquer coating, which saves you money. The steel cases are also berdan primed to ensure ignition and extend their shelf-life. Order your 20-round box today to give your 7.62x39mm-chambered rifle a nice snack.
(This ammunition is steel-cased. Some ranges do not allow rounds with steel cases, so make sure you double check before trying to use this ammunition at your area range.)
