More Details About Our 250 Rounds of 180gr FMJ .40 S&W Ammo by Blazer Brass in Field Box

The 1986 FBI Miami Shootout involved a pair of serial bank robbers facing off with a team of FBI agents and ended in extensive bloodshed. During the course of the gunfight both robbers were shot but continued to fight, and before they finally succumbed to their injuries, they managed to shoot all but one of the agents attempting to apprehend them. Two of those agents were killed, and one of the agents killed, Ben Grogan, was a talented sharpshooter who lost his glasses in the course of the fight. In the aftermath the FBI decided they needed better firepower, and after years of testing and adjustments, the .40 S&W was created.

These particular S&W rounds are manufactured by Blazer. These rounds weigh in at 180 grain, making them pretty heavy for the cartridge size, and that means they pack a solid punch on impact. They’re FMJ, Full Metal Jacket, rounds and as such do not expand on impact but rather impact the target, penetrate it, and keep on going. Always make sure you have a reliable backstop in place during target practice. Each round has a muzzle velocity of 985 feet per second and muzzle energy of 388 foot-pounds. This ammunition is meant for target practice, self-defense training, and plinking.

When you order this box of ammunition from Blazer you get 5 boxes of 50 rounds each for a total of 250 target rounds. With 250 rounds you can get some dedicated training time in; when you hit the range, each and every shot affects your marksmanship, for better or for worse, so make each shot count. This ammunition is produced in fresh brass cases with boxer primer and can be reloaded. Blazer is a subsidiary of CCI, a company with a long, respected history. Production takes place at the CCI factory in Lewiston, Idaho. Order now and hone your skills with your favorite pistol.
