- Absolutely Miesha! That particular revolver can fire any 38 Special or 38 Special +P ammo on the market. This is target ammo, just so you know. If you just want a small box of self-defense ammo, then I'd recommend Remington HTP 38 Special +P: https://www.ammoforsale.com/20-rounds-of-125gr-sjhp-38-spl-p-ammo-by-remington. (The "+P" indicates that the cartridge is loaded to a higher chamber pressure, and accordingly strikes the target harder.)
