More Details About This Remington 40gr LRN .22 LR Ammo

You love your .22LR. If you have a pest problem on your property, a well-placed round takes care of the issue in no time. And if you’ve got a new shooter to instruct, the low recoil and quiet report make learning – and teaching – easy. But when you get right down to it, the greatest thing about the .22LR is that it’s a lot of fun to shoot. Anyone who’s ever fired a gun chambered in .22LR knows you can’t shoot just one round – or ten – you need at least a few hundred rounds to feed your favorite gun. These are versatile guns that are a blast to shoot, and if you really love your .22LR, you’ll keep it loaded with good quality ammunition from Remington.

Remington was founded in 1816 by Eliphalet Remington, whose drive and inventive nature resulted in his designing and building his own flintlock rifle. After he won second place with it in a competition, spectators immediately began asking for their own, and, luckily for the gun world, he decided to start a business and fill those orders. 200 years later Remington is the oldest, largest constantly-operating firearms and ammunition manufacturer in the country, and their reputation always precedes them. Remington is known for producing reliable, quality ammunition, and if you want to follow in the firearms footsteps of your father and your father’s father – and so on – you’ll get your hands on these Remington rounds.

At 40 grain these are both lightweight rounds and within the standard weight range for the .22LR cartridge. They’re LRN – Lead Round Nose – and made for target practice, pest control, and plinking. The lead nose will deform somewhat on impact but shouldn’t be mistaken for a hollow point round. These are Remington Thunderbolt rounds designed for high speeds and zip down-range at a muzzle velocity of 1255 feet per second, and each round has a muzzle energy of 140 foot-pounds. Remington’s ammunition is manufactured at their plant in Lonoke, Arkansas. There are 500 rounds in this box of ammunition; order this box and you’ll have a fantastic day at the range.
