- Q & A
In 1816 a young man by the name of Eliphalet Remington decided to make his own gun. After drawing up the design he used his father’s forge to build it, then entered a competition with it. He won second place and although he undoubtedly would have preferred first he drew a great deal of attention from onlookers. Orders began to pour in and Eliphalet was faced with a decision: fill the orders or stop at one gun. He filled the orders and the Remington Arms Company was born.
These Remington rounds are made for your .223-Remington. Each round weighs in at a lightweight 62 grain. Being lighter weight enables these rounds to travel down-range at higher speeds and also helps keep felt recoil manageable. These are CTFB, Closed Tip Flat Base, rounds and do not expand on impact. Target rounds fired from rifles are capable of traveling for miles before coming to a stop on their own, so make sure you have a good backstop in place during range time. Each round has a muzzle velocity of 3100 feet per second and muzzle energy of 1323 foot-pounds. This ammunition is designed for target practice, self-defense training, and plinking.
When you order this box of ammunition from Remington you get 200 target rounds. With 200 rounds you can hone your marksmanship, working on improving accuracy and grouping or shooting at various distances. Or you can blow away 200 empty soda cans and water jugs; it’s entirely up to you. Remington produces ammunition at their factory in Lonoke, Arkansas, according to high standards for performance and quality. Place your order today to keep your rifle loaded with these American-made target rounds from Big Green.

Great TARGET ammo
on 10/19/2015Been using this batch from Remington for 1000+ rounds now in a Remington 700 long range sniper set up. Granted you get what you pay for. However, I have had excellent reliability results. Accuracy, well it is not a 70+ grain match round. But if you want to hit your target out to 600 yards with a semi tight group this will do. Semi tight means 7 to 9 inch groups of 5.
