- Q & A
The .40 S&W has been around since 1990 which makes it rather young by gun world standards. Even so it’s gained quite a following in the last quarter of a century, and for good reason. Guns chambered in .40 S&W perform with almost identical drift and drop to the lighter 9mm round but with greater overall power. This cartridge was originally designed in response to a need voiced by the FBI, a request for a round with greater power than the 9mm but less felt recoil than the 10mm. It delivers, and then some.
These .40 S&W rounds are manufactured by Prvi Partizan. At 165 grain these are fairly heavyweight rounds for the cartridge size. Because they are heavier they’re able to strike targets with greater force. These are FMJ, Full Metal Jacket, rounds and do not expand on impact. Target rounds such as these are prone to over-penetration, hitting targets and continuing on their way. Always have a reliable backstop in place during range time. This ammunition is designed for target practice, self-defense training, and plinking.
When you order this single box of ammunition you get 50 target rounds. This box is the perfect size for stashing in your range bag or stacking on the shelf of your gun safe. Even better, since these rounds are produced in fresh brass cases with boxer primer you can collect your spent casings, reload them, and get even more range time. Prvi Partizan manufactures this ammunition at their longtime factory in Uzice, Serbia according to SAAMI or CIP specifications. Whether you want to improve your marksmanship or blow away empty soda cans, order now and keep your .40 S&W well-fed.
